Wedding Resources

We love going that little above and beyond for our couples.  …..enjoy – we hope it helps you a little with your wedding plans.

On other fronts, we also know some other folks who might be able to help too.  Whether you’re looking for a florist, someone to make your cake, cater the food or help with the planning and decor, we’re sure to have some help here with some of the area’s best wedding resources.   These aren’t paid advertisers, just folks we know do a great job and we’ve worked with before.  Don’t forget to also check out our “Welcome Magazine.”  It contains some great tips, testimonials and a few extra bells and whistles.

Cakes and other Sweet Treats

Jennifer’s Cakes  –  Jennifer and her crew create some of the most stunning wedding & groom cakes we’ve seen and don’t let us forget – – they taste AMAZING !   They are one of the area’s most popular cakeries for a reason.   Make sure to contact Jennifer for your own private tasting.  You won’t be disappointed with this wedding resource.

Hair / Makeup / Spa

hair salon and spaHalo Salon & Spa

Halo has been described by some in the industry, as a “New York like” experience in the City of Augusta. Sarah’s goal is to provide this exceptional and special experience for each individual client by creating an atmosphere with products and services conducive to that end. Her investments in education, training, modernization and new technology are continuous. A recent makeover in the spa area, offering state of the art equipment, with experienced aestheticians and massage therapists is now accommodating larger parties.

Caterer / Event Planner

Go West Events –  We have been a fan of Jai’s food for a long time.  Her culinary skills are awesome and her command of different cuisines is impressive.  We are pleased to say Jai’s catering is so very tasty.  Whether you’re looking for something simple or something elaborate, Jai can definitely meet your needs.

The Ashton Cole Place – Wow ! ~  That’s the first thought we had when we drove up for a tour of this venue with the owner, Dee Ann.  She and her husband thought of pretty much everything when they built the barn like venue to accompany the rest of the beautiful property.   It can be as rustic or elegant as you’d want.  First, let me say the placement of the bridal suite with it’s large picture window allows just the right amount of light to come in and it’s every photographer’s dream.  Let’s talk about the space for the ceremony itself….you know what?  Check it out for yourself and you’ll understand what we’re talking about.  This is a MUST consider location.

Enterprise Mills – If you like exposed brick walls, chandeliers, and a touch of history – you’ll like Enterprise Mills.  Havird and his staff have really got this down to a science.  Catering can be done by Fat Man’s, one of the area’s staples and the staff at Enterprise Mill can even help you plan everything.  There’s a separate area if you want an outside ceremony and even a covered area with a fireplace for cocktail hour.  We love unique venues and this is definitely one of the area’s best.

DJ’s & Entertainment

M&S Mobile Productions – We’ve had the pleasure of working a wedding with Mike.  He certainly keeps the venues kicking.  He’s a professional with a great personality and talent for what he does.  If dancing is what you want to do, he’s one to make it happen for you.  He can even bring in special lighting to add a special something to your reception and even your ceremony if you want.

Amplified Events – Patrick and his DJ’s are awesome at spinning the tunes and lighting up the venue.  With over 15 years experience these guys have the experience and the charisma to get your reception rocking.
